Staxtonbury, the Family Music Festival, showcasing local talent from the area. For the second time the event will take place at Manor Farm, Staxton.

Grubs Up!

Being a full on festival goer can be thirsty work as well as building up an
appetite, so this year we have increased our offering of catering outlets.

As mentioned on the Home page, Kloisters Bar will be serving the very popular
Wold Top beer along with John Smiths, Fosters and Strong Bow Cider. They do of
course serve a great range of soft drinks too so look out for Moet's Bar!!

Of course not all of us want an alcoholic beverage and there will be plenty of
coffee and good old Yorkshire favourite, tea, about to buy. In fact our
catering facilities include:

Killerby Kitchens, Angie's Ice Creams from East Ayton and a Crepe and coffee
stall to name but a few of the outlets available. There will be covered eating
area to shade from the sun (hopefully) or rain (hope not). Also, new to Staxtonbury
will be Big Al's, a well established caterers who will be serving plated meals from 8am
til late each day with a wide variety of meals on offer at very reasonable prices.
There will be a covered area to sit and enjoy the excellent dishes from a Full English Breakfast to evening meals!

Also new this year by popular demand we welcome Sir Hogalot, a local Hog Roast
run by Chris and Angie from Rillington.

Picnic

Of course you could do the age old English tradition of a picnic, in fact full
on dining experience could better describe some of last years festival goers;
dining table and white table cloths were seen. Bringing your own picnic can in
fact be great fun and baking for the day will make a very tasty spread indeed -
why not go to town. Drinks can be brought to the festival, but please don't bring
bottles and glasses onto the festival field to avoid the risk of glass debris... plastic
containers will be available in the bar area.

Finally, if you are the kind of person who like s bit of retail therapy we are
even trying to cater to your needs too. We are going to be selling Staxtonbury
T-shirts and we are hoping to have a trade stand stocked with musical
instruments. Wooden Toy shop will be back again to give the little perishers a treat
( if they deserve one ).

If you would like to have a concession at Staxtonbury, we are always interested
to hear from you. Please email ray.m.roberts@btinternet.com.
